The Teen Adivisory Board is very excited about the Bangor Public Libray's new website. The new Teen Blog is a way for area Teens to express their opinions and let the Library know what they think of our collection, programs and website.

You guys gonna update this thing or what? Being a teen myself, I would absolutely love to see workshops, events and contests aimed at teens instead of small children scheduled over summer vacation - A repeat of the writing workshop, perhaps; or events involving art, another games tournament (Rock Band? I can provide everything except the TV if you'd like) or organized trips/tours of local areas such as Bar Harbor or 'Old' Bangor.
A voice in the wilderness! Sorry this blog has not been updated since its inception, but yours is the first comment and I had almost lost hope that anyone was tuning in so to speak. Your ideas are wonderful, how about joining the YA Board? This is a good forum to make ideas and discuss the practicality of getting them up and going. We meet every first Monday of the month at 3:30 PM.
I'll be posting soon about our summer reading program for teens. We are having a writing class & writing workshops in the fall.
